I want to say a massive thank you to Tanya and François for the most amazing weekend. My partner and I booked Tan House for a joint sten party with our close wedding party, and it was flawless from beginning to end.
Tanya and François greeted us when we arrived and showed us around. They were so accommodating and kind, letting us know that if we needed anything at all, all we had to do was ask. The loveliest people. The Teepee was absolutely stunning, the perfect place to party, relax, and have the best time. The location couldn’t have been better, right near some incredible places like Puzzlewood, with beautiful views and walks nearby.
But honestly, the most stunning part is Tan House itself. It is so beautiful and so unbelievably cared for, truly the perfect setting. Thank you for making this weekend so special.

We stayed at Tan House to celebrate a big birthday. It was absolutely fabulous. From the attention to detail, the extra touches, the amazing care from the hosts to the rooms and location. Highly recommend any large group looking for a great experience in a beautiful place to book.

You cannot ask for a better venue for a hen party! The house and grounds are fantastic, even better than the pictures. The rooms and bathrooms are beautifully done and so clean. The grounds are perfect for either sitting around and relaxing or having a drink and a dance! Tanya & François are the best hosts. The only downside was the fact I couldn't stay longer!

Honeymoon Safari in the Forest of Dean
We spent a last minute overnight at this fabulous venue in Gloucestershire, and it reminded us of our safari honeymoon - not just the zebras. Tanya and Francois were brilliant hosts and the bed was one of the most comfortable we've ever encountered in a hotel. The whole place is a wonder, the design carefully thought through and extra-ordinary (in a good way) and utterly charming. I can imagine it would be a perfect wedding venue - and much more affordable than a trip to Africa.

Magical escape
Beautiful, luxurious accommodation in lovely peaceful setting. The Teepee was fabulous, so imaginatively and artistically curated. Plenty of space to enjoy the high quality food, to lounge by the fire pit and to dance and party!! We were celebrating my daughters Hen Weekend and Tanya and Francois did everything that they could to bring sparkle and fun. 3 of us performed a song and dance, and Francois set up the backing music and the smoke machine to add to the atmosphere! Then both he and Tanya shone spot lights on us to add to the fun!
Indeed at every opportunity they were quietly enabling us to enjoy ourselves, bringing out the fancy dress, hats and photo booth at just the right time. Amazing, warm, fun and attentive hosts.
Quite a magical experience!!

Un mariage parfait!
I'm going to write these few words from the heart, as we decided to drive 12 hours to a little piece of paradise to get married. We met Tanya and François, a couple as endearing as they were professional, who looked after us as if we were family. The 16 of us were made to feel right at home, with comfortable beds, excellent food, relaxing surroundings and breathtaking views.
I would recommend this address in its entirety, with no negative points whatsoever.
Francois and Tanya, I can't thank you enough for everything you did for us this weekend, so singular in a lifetime. You are extraordinary, we'll never forget you.

Utterly magical!
We fell in love with the glorious Tan House from the moment we saw it and so it was an easy decision to make to hold our wedding reception there, with Tanya and François as our hosts. From start to finish, they were incredibly accommodating. Tanya was determined to make our day unique, fabulous and unforgettable – a task which she emphatically achieved with her impeccable task and attention to detail. Our guests stayed in the garden wing and bungalow and we stayed in the gypsy wagon. All the accommodation were completely enchanting and finished to a high standard. Everyone enjoyed the hot tubs and pizza oven, as well as use of the stunning grounds and gardens. The highlight of our reception was the use of the incredible tipi in the courtyard. Decked out with vintage glassware, Bali umbrellas, fairy lights, a fire pit, candy floss and bubble machine, large screen, speakers and disco ball, to name but a few features. It provided the unique backdrop to our pictures and meant that I didn’t have to worry about the weather on the day! The service and catering was also superb – all handmade, locally sourced ingredients and presented beautifully. Our guests (aged from 75 to 3) all loved this fantastic space and as evening set in and the hundreds of fairy lights came on, we felt like we were in our own magical world. We cannot thank Tanya and François enough for going above and beyond to make our day so exceptional. We dreamt a little dream and they really did make it come true!

We can't say enough about how perfect our stay was! We stayed here with friends for my partners 30th birthday and had an incredible time. Tanya and Francois are the most thoughtful, lovely, and kind hosts we've experienced. From start to finish they went the extra mile; decorating the kitchen, providing cookies/milk/bread/bottle of fizz, Tanya helped us unload our many bags into the house and Francois gave a detailed tour of the property and how to use all of the amenities. We used the BBQ, tipi, and hot tubs which really added to the weekend - and we had the much appreciated surprise of wonderfully decorated areas at night with colourful lights which gave it a festival feel. They checked in on us at intervals giving us the space we needed but also reassuring support. Above all, the property is gorgeous, well designed/decorated and well taken care of. We've already recommended the property to our friends and will certainly be coming back ourselves.

Superb hosts and fabulous accommodation in the beautiful Forest of Dean. A delightful place to spend a long weekend Tanya and her family were incredibly welcoming and accommodating for our family get-together at Tan House. The setting is absolutely gorgeous, a peaceful rural idyll with thoughtful and fun details at every turn. You can enjoy the peaceful garden and fabulous views by day, then listen to Tawny Owls while you stargaze, before turning in to a beautifully appointed bedroom with luxurious linens. We were thoroughly spoilt with use of the wood fired pizza oven, managed expertly by Francois, as well as the amazing hot tub. And the lunch that Tanya prepared for us and our guests in the beautiful tee-pee courtyard was delicious. We simply couldn't have enjoyed our time here more. Thank you for a truly wonderful weekend!

The property itself is a testament to exquisite design and thoughtful craftsmanship. The moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The interior is beautifully furnished, combining modern elegance with a rustic charm that perfectly complements the natural surroundings. Every room is tastefully decorated and equipped with all the amenities one could desire. The attention to detail is high. From the plush bedding to the luxurious bathroom fixtures, it's clear that little expense was spared in ensuring the utmost comfort for guests. The open-plan living area is spacious and filled with natural light. One of the highlights of the Tan House is undoubtedly the expansive garden. The well-manicured grounds provide the perfect backdrop for outdoor activities. Whether you're enjoying a morning coffee on the patio, having a barbecue with friends and family, or simply exploring the nearby trails, you'll be surrounded by the beauty of the forest at every turn. Unfortunately, we didn't have time to enjoy the wood-fired hot tub, but we were treated to pizzas from the outdoor wood-fired oven, which would give Franco Manca a good run for its money! One that point, the hosts of the Tan House deserve special recognition. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was unforgettable, providing excellent communication and offering valuable insights into the local attractions and activities. Their dedication to making guests feel welcome and comfortable truly sets this property apart.
